AfL: Generating Guidelines

Description

This activity consists of two parts. Be sure to complete both parts and submit them to your teacher for feedback.

Part A

Using newly-acquired knowledge of website design, choose 2 websites to analyze. Each website must offer the same or similar service. Submit a short analysis of each website. The analysis should conclude with a comparison between the two websites and an explanation of which website has the more effective design.

analysis should include:

• The URL for each of the websites you have chosen;
• Analyses of design, language, and images of both websites;
• Screenshots that highlight specific items in your analysis for both websites;
• A comparison of the websites and a recommendation for which website is more effective using your analyses as evidence.

Part B

Now create A set of guidelines for designing a website based on what you have learned and from the analyses completed. These guidelines will be the rules you will follow when you create your own website. The maximum number of rules is 10, and you must provide reasoning for each choice.
