After attending lectures on 31 October, Judi and Jane went to join a Halloween party with their friends in Ma On Shan. They took the mini-bus from Siu Lek Yuen intending to get off at the City One train station to meet their friends. Judi was wearing a very long Halloween costume. When Judi got off from the mini-bus, the driver shut the door too fast and did not realize that her dress was caught by the bus door. Judi fell off the bus and broke her right arm and front teeth. Jane also felt dizzy when she saw Judi having a broken arm and blood in her mouth. Both Judi and Jane were admitted to the Prince Wales Hospital, claiming that they would not able to do their Business Law examination and have to forgo their earnings from the part-time jobs in the coming month
