After tiring of their hectic lives suppose Monty, Smithers, Horner, and Marge decide to start their own desert community. While living in the desert the only two activities available are hunting for lizards to eat, or writing poems about sand. Assume each person can produce the following maximum amount each day and that each individual has a linear PPC. Calculate each person's opportunity cost of writing a poem, list the person with the lowest opportunity cost, the 2nd lowest, the 3rd lowest, and the 4th lowest. Initially assume Monty, Smithers, Horner, and Marge are all catching lizards. With all 4 individuals catching lizards, how many lizards will be caught in this economy? To increase poem production, which person would be the "best", in terms of efficiency, to switch from lizard production to poem production? After switching that person, what combination of goods would the economy (combined) now produce? Who is the second best person to switch to poem production? What will be the economy's output level with 2 people producing poems and 2 people producing lizards
