Project management in very involved and a necessary step in order to map out a project or an initiative and expect results. I did not realize that the process was so involved. It is a project within a project. I am working in a team of three who all work for Valley Hospital/Health System. We all work in different departments at different locations, so having input from all of our resources will provide knowledge and understanding of processes we may not be familiar with. The team brain-stormed a few different issues, however, the obstacle was to figure out how we could ties our topic together with the three entities in the organization we work for; billing/revenue, wellness and fitness, and systems specialist/information systems. I asked one of my directors, who now has moved on to another department if he would be our contact. I thought he would be a good resource as he is highly regarded by the executive staff, has implemented new programing at Valley, and is a non-medical professional like us.
