Airport Analysis Consider the performance-against-theschedule of ights while at the airport. A ight arriving at the airport with delays can have those delays Absorbed (E during Gate Turn Around), or Propagated (i.e. with some of the delays it came with that are not absorbed during Gate Turn Around). A ight departing the airports can have delays that are not Propagated but Generated. Generated delays can occur during Gate Turn Around due to gate,' airplane issues/ passenger/ airline issues or due to NAB-wide issues (E Flow Management). Generated delays can also occur during Taxi-out due to airplane/passwger/ airline or airport surface/ departure congestion issues, or due to NAB-wide issues (ii. Flow Management). Refer to the sample of ight data for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on the next page. 1) Complete Columns 11-14 a. ON DELAY b. INDELAY c. OUT DELAY d. OFF DELAY Hint: Column 11 is obtained by subtracting Column 3 from Column 7. Similarly, (12) = (3) - (4); (13) = (9) - (5); (14) = (10) - (6)- 2) Complete Columns 15-17 {You will need to think the rules for when a delay is categorized into each category). a. Absorbed Delay b. Is the airport passing on the delays that come in, absorbing delays as they come in, and/ or generating delays? Is there a problem? What would you do to fix it?
