Alexia is from Jamaica. She fled an abusive partner in that country. She owned a clothing store which was targeted by gang members for 'protection money'. Alexia was able to pay the gang for six months but then ran out of money. When the money ran out, the gangs began harassing her and her mother, with whom she lived. She moved from Kingston, where her store was located, to Negril. It was impossible for Alexia to make a living in Negril, and so she came to Canada, where she has a cousin.

She arrived to Canada in 2019 and did not make a refugee claim. She was just apprehended by CBSA and has been served with a PRRA.

In Canada she met a Canadian, Phil, and together they had a daughter named Raver.. The relationship has broken down and Alexia is a single mother. Alexia is working as a manager at restaurant and she is good at it.

You have just been retained to file Alexia's PRRA for her submissions (the forms are already submitted). She tells you that she is afraid before of the details above, as well as increasing violence in Jamaica.
