Alternative Dispute Resolution

Glen engages Attic Space Pty Ltd (Attic Space) to build an attic room in his home's roof space. Glen makes it known to Attic Space that the attic is to be used as study where he can install his computer and work peacefully away from his noisy children. The agreed price is $25,000. After the work is complete Glen is disappointed to find he cannot use the attic as a study. The attic is too hot in summer because of the lack of ventilation and insulation. Glen finds he can only use the attic for storage of his books and other materials. When Glen complains to Attic Space, the company's manager refuses to fix the problem by providing for ventilation and installing insulation material. Glen does not want to employ a solicitor and seeks your advice as to an alternative method to resolve his dispute with Attic Space
