American Express has built their culture on a strong DEI as well as CSR plan domestically and internationally as their business operations are global. Around the world, there is many different talents that American Express can see that candidates possess and bring to the business. American Express has already recognized 14 different colleague networks with some being Asian Network, Black Engagement Network, Disability Engagement Network, Women's in technology network, etc.. I believe another way that American Express could make an impact would be ramping up their corporate responsibility net zero goal from 2035 to 2030. With American Express having such a large impact globally, I believe it's important to lead by example with a stronger ambition towards the environment. American Express already does a great job with contributions towards local communities, charities, and non-profit groups and I believe focusing on the environment with a more aggressive plan would help strengthen the view of the company in the public eye. With getting team members on board, I believe there should also be company wide posters, banners, and emails promoting the use of being green efficient as well as positions to join this new board for employees within the company. Monthly giveaways as well could be given out in the form of cash, all expense paid vacation, additional sick time / paid time off, as well as an all paid for dinner for 2 within the company in order to get employees involved by showing their appreciation for the environment. Change can only start if it happens from within the company and I believe this is a good plan in order to get team members on board.
