An engaged employee is one who is fully involved in, as well as enthusiastic about their work, and thus will act in a way that furthers their organization's interests. Employee engagement is important to the competitiveness of any organization, particularly in the current business environment. Research has shown that organizations with a culture of high employee engagement excel in customer satisfaction and achieve high productivity and operational efficiency, as well as profitability with the additional side effect of safer, healthier employees with lower absenteeism and reduced turnover (O'Neill, Beauvais, & Scholl, 2016).

I am looking for an example of where an organization has a culture of highly engaged employees or alternatively, has very disengaged employees? What caused the engagement/lack of engagement? What were the results?
