Any level of change can cause resistance, whether it be a new team member joining the team, an employee leaving or a major organisational shift in the company.

It is human nature to be worried about change. In an organisation, concerns may vary from person to person based on how the changes might impact each team members specific roles in the form of either a shift in complexity or workload.

As a leader, it is important to keep in mind that oftentimes concerns about change do not arise solely from the change itself but occur in conjunction with other environmental factors, which may include concerns over Covid-19, inflation, personal challenges and more. Such variables can often exacerbate resistance and reluctance.
