As a business owner, I have 3 different locations within the Denver Metro area. Two of those places are retail sales operations with about 3,500 square feet in each retail location. The third location is the manufacturing plant that is about 10,000 square feet. Overall, I employ 70 people, 15 in each of the retail locations and 40 in the manufacturing plant. I own the manufacturing plant but I lease the retail spaces. I also have 5 large trucks to transport the goods to the retail locations. I also lease a Toyota Avalon as my business car for business use and occasional personal use.
In the past year, one of my retail locations has had two armed robberies and the other retail location has had money missing from the cash register that was discovered at the end of the month. I've had no property losses in the past 4 years at the manufacturing plant; however, I've had a few slip n' fall claims at both retail locations. My work comp claims average $1,500/incident and I've had about 40 accidents/year for the past 3 years.
My name is well known in the community as I advertise on TV and live in a gated community. I have 3 children, two are of driving age and live at home.
I'm tired of taking care of all the insurance and finance issues within my operation and just get completely overwhelmed with all the insurance options. However, I'm very sensitive to my rates and would like to know what you consider when you develop my premium for my various coverages.
What would you recommend for me?
