.As an old saying goes, "Plan the work and work the plan." Every successfully funded initiative starts with a well-thought-out plan of action that shares with the funding agency the vision for accomplishing the work. This component of a grant proposal is a plan aligned with project goals and objectives that outlines the activities that will need to be completed, as well as identifies the people and time needed for success. plan for accomplishing your criminal justice initiative
I have selected a criminal justice initiative focused on reducing recidivism for youth who have entered the criminal justice system.
The fund I have selected is the Department of Justice's Second Chance Act Grant and the link is
https://www.grants.gov/web/grants/view-opportunity.html?oppId=312713.
In order to reduce recidivism, this grant will provide jobs and career guidance, mentoring, and counseling for these youths, improving their chances for re-entry and re-entry success. In addition to promoting successful re-entry for formerly incarcerated individuals and ensuring the safety of local communities, this initiative supports the Department of Justice's aims. The project would give youths the resources they need to succeed and reduce their risk of recidivism if the grant is awarded to our agency.
