When analyzing data, you will be using various tools and techniques to answer the given research question. You will often have choices between various tools and available, applicable methods. For this assignment, you will create and analyze a linear regression model of the population dynamics of the U$.$S$.$ state in which you currently reside. Refer to the data from the U$.$S$.$ Census Bureau: Current Estimates, which is located in the topic Resources.

Part I: Contextualization

In the introductory section of the report, you will need to provide a contextualization of the data set. In order to do this, complete the following:

Download the most recent population estimates data file from the U$.$S$.$ Census Bureau$$s web page. Prepare the data set for analysis with the selected tool.

Construct a linear regression model of the population dynamics of your state using the census data.

Identify the ranking of your state with respect to the population growth rate.

Predict the population size of your state in ten years from now using the regression model.

Part II: Planning and Reporting

Provide a summary of the analysis outlining all the phases of the process and summaries of the findings, including the following points:

The programming tool used and justification for the selection.

Explanation of how you prepared the data and how the data set was used by the programming script, including a screenshot of your results.

Graphical representation of the model and the prediction.

Summary of the limitations of the data.

Outline of the assumptions of the model.

Summary of the limitations of the model.

Assessment of the model$$s performance.

Assessment of the fit of the model to its data.
