You work for a Allianz Construction company; as the name suggests, Allianz is a construction company that constructs both commercial and residential properties. You are the HR manager at Allianz and have been asked by the management team to develop an organisational performance development plan. The company has three departments under their special radar. These are Sales & Marketing, Finance & Accounting and Projects.

There are multiple reasons why the performance of these departments have been so low. The following are a few reasons:

The organisation has been very slow to move into automation even with basic operations such as record-keeping.

Managers are loaded with so much work that they generally don't have time to manage their teams which includes managing grievances, bonding with their teams and also supporting team members growth.

Team members are left clueless many times as there is no direction provided by the managers since they have been caught up in a lot of additional work.

No proper training is provided to newly joined team members.

There have been multiple WHS issues which has led to multiple fines which the organisation had to pay.

A few consequences of this have been that taxes were not paid on time which incurred fines from the ATO. 80% of the construction projects ran over budget and time by a minimum of 50%.

As the HR manager this is a big concern for the organisation; you have been asked by the management team to develop an organisational performance development program plan for the three primary departments namely - sales & marketing, finance & accounting and projects.

The OPDP plan will help managers and employees identify areas for improvement, set goals, measure progress, and outline a strategy to achieve those objectives. As you are aware that currently our area of concerns are the following departments - Sales & Marketing, Finance and Projects.

Here are a few updates which will help you in the development of this plan.
