This report will give you the opportunity to explore different kinds of informal informational reports and write a short 500-word report: either a conference report or a yardstick report.
There are samples of both reports in your text. If you choose to write a conference report, pick a course, or conference you have attended to talk about. If you choose the yardstick report, pick a product that you think your company or school might buy. Then compare at least two different examples of the product to give information to help them make the decision.
The Report must
- Be approximately 500 words
- Be in memo format
- Incorporate effective document design features to increase readability.
- Include paragraphs that follows at least two different kinds f organizational pattern.
You must submit two parts.
You must submit a good copy followed by a comments copy.
- Good copy
The good copy will contain your one-page memo-format report.
- Comments copy
In the comments copy, I want to see that you understand paragraphing and different organizational patterns for paragraphing. Therefore, you do not need to include the entire good copy report. You only need to include two of your body paragraphs from your report.
For each of the two sample paragraphs, you must i) label the organizational pattern, ii) underline your topic sentence and iii) provide an additional paragraph explaining what you did to create that style of paragraph organization.
