Assignment Brief

The organisation you were posted to on promotion, after completing your studies/course has been faced with multitudes of problems concerning supplies; things were coming late, sometimes they will be wrong, very expensive and everybody was able to receive on behalf of the organisation leading to the organisation budget being depleted only within the second (2^nd) quarter of the annual financial/budgeting period. You are faced with making sure that things are done in a proper manner and you are to workshop the whole top management members on why they need to establish a procurement function and use the procurement processes to properly manage the finances.

Task

This assignment casts you in the role of a lead change agent to establish the procurement function by making recommendations in the form of a slide presentation.

It requires you to: Evaluate the procurement concept and its role in organisation operations management and then suggest ways in which the challenges faced by the organisation could be resolved using varied ways to improving the procurement processes.
