This is an INDIVIDUAL assignment. Worth 10%.
This assignment relates to the budget for the fictional event. You will be creating parts of a Sponsorship Package based on your fictional event for your final project. (Make sure your partner/group members have different parts).
There are three essential elements of a Sponsorship Package.
Each group member will choose only one (1) of the topics to write about for the assignment. IF you are working independently, please select a topic that interests you.
You will submit your assignments individually in the course shell.
Include the Introduction event section
Include ONLY the topic you are writing about (Name the topic/question you are answering)
You may use the Sponsorship Help Sheet document to assist you with ideas. Do not hand in the Help Sheets as your assignment.
Introduce the Event - Each individual submission must include:
Event Summary: Write a short paragraph on the event you have chosen.
Financial Goals and Objectives for your event.
Date: What is the date of your event and your location (venue and city)?
The section of the Sponsorship Package that you decided to write about. (Make sure your partner/group members have different parts).
Choose one of the following topics:
Sponsorship Letter: Create a request for sponsorship letter. The letter will follow the outline as per worksheet template posted. The letter much include:
Professional Letter with Logo of the organization in the top corner.
Introduction paragraph,
Main focus paragraph that gives the sponsors reasons why its in their best interest to sponsor.
Closing paragraph that has a grab line and a call to action.
Note: Make sure you choose a specific company to address the letter so that it is not generic.
Levels of Sponsorships & Benefits: Create a tiered sponsorship chart/diagram. Include the marketing benefits the sponsors receive for their monetary or in-kind sponsorship. Make sure there is value in the different levels of sponsorship. The chart/diagram must be professional looking and creativity/graphics are encouraged.
Who will you target for sponsorship? Create a chart. Column 1: List the potential companies that your event would approach (a minimum of 5 is required). Column 2: What are the marketing advantages for the event? Column 3: What are the benefits for the sponsors? Column 4: What type of sponsorship are your requesting? (ex: media, monetary, in-kind: merchandise, venue, transportation)?

Prepare your report in Word or Equivalent (2-3 pages) no other formats will be graded.
Use a consistent font size (12 pt) and style (Helvetica, Arial, Calibri or similar) for all written content
Use of headings, subheadings, diagrams, tables, images, etc. is encouraged. It must look professional.
Bullet points are allowed if supported by introductory statements
You must support your ideas with research from the textbook, online sources, the library. Images and other research must be referenced using APA format.
If your Group has more than 3 people in it, THEN:
Topic # 4. Full Event Budget Create a Budget Estimate for the event that your team is proposing. Include the expense and revenue categories for the event using the textbook as your guide. Identify at least 5 expenses and 3 sources of revenue for your fictional event.
