ASSIGNMENT QUESTION PURPOSE This assignment will provide an avenue for learners to evaluate the issues of environmental management and sustainability. TASK 1: SURVEY AND REPORT WRITING COVID-19 has been the largest global health crisis in decades. Apart from the unprecedented number of deaths and hospitalizations, COVID-19 has resulted in economic slowdowns, widespread business disruptions, and significant hardships. You are required to do a survey that focused on investigating the impacts of the COVID-19 endemic on the Malaysian waste management industry since the Government of Malaysia declares to move to the endemic phase on April 1st 2022. Therefore, you have to identify a waste management company/industry (scheduled waste or solid waste) that serves at your workplace and conduct a survey/ interview with the representative of that company. Your survey/ interview aims to help understand the challenges, issues or status quo of the waste management industry during pandemic and post-endemic phase of COVID-19 in Malaysia. You may design your questions for a survey/ interview. All answers from your respondent will be recorded/transcribed, as part of your findings. INSTRUCTIONS Your report content may include the following format: 1. Introduction (provide some background of the selected waste management company, etc.). 2. Literature review (some brief info on other impacts of the endemic phase of COVID-19 on the waste management industries in other countries, such as new conflict appearance and how the industry dealing with the impact, etc.). 3. Methodology (how you obtain your information; in flow-chart; interview questions by phone/email/survey, etc.). 4. Result and Discussion (your descriptive analysis based on your finding from the survey; and responses from the interview transcribe in tables, and find its current issue during the endemic phase of COVID-19). 5. Conclusion and Recommendations. 6. References (website links, etc.). 7. Appendix (your original copy of survey questions; the copy of the interview transcribes from the respondent).
