The report should focus upon:

1. the business advantage considerations embedded in The Post's transformation moves, plus

2. the use of different digital transformation strategies and approaches, including the internal technology startup and decisions on the startup's future, plus

3. the opportunities for providing new and added value to their customers using new technologies like the experience platform (Arc XP), plus

4. the opportunities and risks associated with making Arc XP a SaaS and selling to competitors, and

5. how to manage relationships with new partners and competitors in the journalism and technology sectors, such as Google, Apple, and social media platforms.

The conclusion should present practical recommendations for the next logical steps in The Washington Post's digital transformation journey.

The report is designed to allow you to demonstrate an integrated appreciation of the majority of material within the course. Ideally, you should bring your own experience into the discussions on the case, even if as a potential digital news consumer and subscriber. We aim for reports that integrate well the academic knowledge obtained on the course with first-hand experience and ability to see the connections between theoretical models and specific cases of developing and using digital technology.
