Assignment task Low-cost airlines have contributed to the significant development of secondary airports over the past fifteen to twenty years. Write a 3,000, word (+/- 10%) report about one such UK/European or worldwide airport that has benefitted from this phenomenon; what aspects of the airport made it attractive to low-cost airlines, how the airport management has had to respond to demand and how it has developed as a consequence. Your report must include: 1. General information about the airport and its location, facilities, commercial activities and services. This should seek to be analytical in terms of the changes it has undergone and the future challenges you believe your airport faces. 2. Specific analysis of the development of the infrastructure of the airport for example including runways, taxiways, navigation/approach aids, terminals and aircraft/passenger facilities. 3. This report must also include a section of strategic recommendations (3-5) for the future development of your chosen Airport. 4. Briefly detail the effect this has had on a relatively nearby major hub airport and/or region. Complete your report, making sure you have included all sections. You should submit your work in either MS Word or PDF format. Work should be 1.5 line spacing and on a white background.
