At the due process hearing, the district presented evidence of the issues Layla has in class. Layla needed to be removed from her kindergarten class every single day for a two-month period; this was despite the additional supports that were provided to her. These additional supports included modifying the positive behavior support plan to include the following steps: 1. Adding tiered positive reinforcement, tangible reinforcers, and an updated reinforcement survey 2. Creating a personal schedule, binder, social stories (scripts), and checklists 3. Adding mandatory breaks to Layla's schedule (where, how often, and what she was allowed to do during the breaks) 4. Group guidance 5. Pre-teaching and priming for transitions/decision making
