At the very end of the scene clip, if you were General Pritchard (wearing a moustache ), what would you do with a) Keith Davenport and b) the lieutenant navigator? What is your solution for each? W by? If I were General Pritchard I would take the following actions: - I would transfer Keith to another unit as he has clearly failed to understand the need of the group and align those goals with those required by the army in times of war where the stakes are all time high and one cannot afford any slack. I do not agree with the leadership style of Keith as it has not given the team any goal or mission that they could strive towards. Any effort without a mission or vision lacks the drive required to make it successful as can be seen in this case as well. Even when the lieutenant navigator was acknowledging his mistake Devonport was supporting him completely and even told him that he nothing to be worried about. How can a leader say this after such a bad day which has costed just not financially but in terms of human numbers as well? Rather than striving to make his team work harder he is arguing with the high offices to cut his team some slack. I also agree with the analysis of Frank Savage that Davenport has become too involved, too one of them to see the mistakes the crew is making and has failed to lead them towards a goal. - I would openly acknowledge and appreciate the Lieutenant Navigator for coming forward and realizing his mistake .However ,lwould also make sure that he understands the repercussions of his actions and the severity of human and financial losses .Ithink by criticizing him and by providing a new leader who can take the reins of the miserable crew should suffice
