Base on my question and sampling technique can someone give me constructive input that I may be missing?

Proposed Research Question -

Why are colleges charging the same price for tuition despite classes being online and campuses being closed?Is their choice to charge the same tuition justified?

What kind of sampling will you use?

I will be utilizing two types of sampling for my research. The initial sample will bequota samplingthat involves setting quotas based on demographic information to attain insight. The information gathered will be from the general student public and how they utilize their college online versus how they utilized it in person (Hozack, 2014). Following will bejudgmental sampling,where I will hand pick a number of local board state members that have intimate knowledge of how state school funding is dispersed. The information will be used to assess their reasoning as to why they maintain the same tuition rates for their state colleges.

Why is this the best choice for your research?

The combination of both sampling methods will bring forth information on seeing how colleges are compensating to provide students during their online schooling and how local board state members determine the tuition for their local state colleges. Quota sampling will place individuals into a demographic category of being a student who is currently taking online college and was one that previously attended in-person college. The judgmental sampling is used to attain information from specific members of the local state board that have intimate knowledge of how their operations work.

What kind of data will you collect (qualitative or quantitative)?

Mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative research will be conducted. Referencing last weeks discussion, quantitative research will be used to study numerical data of tuition costs. The qualitative data will be used to uncover the how and why local state board members determine their tuition (mypeer, n.d.).

Why is this the best type of data for your research question?

Utilizing mixed methods best type suits my research question because it takes the information gathered concerning numerical data of tuition costs from the quantitative research and applies it to the qualitative information to be received. We can use our research in questions during interviews to gain further qualitative information as well.

An example of this would be - "So it states that facilities utilized $20 million in that last school year to operate the college, tuition provides $12 million to aid in operations. After reviewing the colleges current online operations, they are only using $15 million to operate the school. Since $12 million is still being provided through tuition as seen in the current school year, does that change at all the determination of tuition during the local board meetings?"
