1.General Description:An automated waste can that is capable of transporting trash and recycle to a homeowner's curb and returning to origin destination after contents have been collected.
2.Manufacturing Plan/Cost:Final manufacturing will be performed in the United States. Plastic and rubber materials will be sourced domestically, while battery and electronic components will be sourced from suppliers in Australia (largest output of lithium-ion batteries, globally) and China. Costs will remain below $150 per unit.
3.Product Availability & Lead Times:Retails at hardware and home improvement stores, as well as online retailers (including the websites of physical retail chains). Lead time of single can is five days.
4.Competitive Performance Analysis:SmartCans will be the first and only automated waste can on the market. Essentially, SmartCans will be the sole representative of the next generation of waste disposal products. While SmartCans will not be able to operate on the sales level of the competition, the features and advantages offered by SmartCans will negate the need to do so. The quality of product will relegate direct competition of minimal concern.
