Bean Derman ("BD") is a very busy law professor, administrator, and family man. He travels around giving lectures, hosting fundraisers for his school, and, apparently, looking for a new job. To better manage his time, he writes a computer program that coordinates a series of activities, including his calendar, contact lists, thank-you letters, and forwards his c.v. to numerous prospective employers (the "BD Program"). The BD Program is a big success so BD decided to sell versions of it in a local electronics store. Dud Slyjester ("DS") purchased a single copy of the BD Program at the store.
