Calculate a 90%, 95%, and 99% confidence interval and paste your results here. As the level of confidence increases, what happens to the width of the confidence interval? Does it increase or decrease? Explain why this would happen.
Penitent information:
I used Statdisk to calculate confidence intervals as seen below:
The sample mean is 122.96 or rounded to an integer of 123
The sample population is 300
The standard deviation is 15.85
90% Confidence interval:
121.49012 < mean < 124.50988
95% Confidence interval:
121.19915 < mean < 124.80085
99% Confidence interval:
120.62772 < mean < 125.37228
My answer so far:
As the confidence interval increases the width of said interval also increases.
I need to add to my answer any help would be greatly appreciated. Espcially why it occurs. Also I am not 100% sure my answer is accurate
