5. A Math course is taught to a 1st group that consists of 50 students by the traditional procedures. The second group consists of 48 students was given the same subject but taught through the technology-aided method. At the end of the term, similar test was given to each group. The first group has an average score of 86 with a standard deviation of 6.20, while the second group has an average score 72 with a standard deviation of 5.50. Test the hypothesis that there is a significance difference between the scores of two groups 0.01 level of significance.

Follow the procedures below.

(a) State the null and alternative hypotheses.

(b) Select the level of significance.

(c) Choose the appropriate test statistic and identify whether it is one-tailed or two-tailed

(d) Determine the critical value and the rejection region/s.

(e) Compute the test statistic.

(f) State the decision.

(g) State the conclusion.
