Technology tools in this era are crucial to building the proper skills and acquiring the requirements to survive in this digital era. Before searching, I learned it is vital to use critical thinking skills and create a question and, at the same time, answer it. Yet, this process is a little complex since it took me several semesters back in Ramapo to build that skill and make it an element of my learning process. In short, answering questions such as why, how, and where can help to create a route map and start a conducting search. First, some resources I have used to locate literature to support written work come from the physical library and the database. Also, visiting other libraries and universities helped me to build a solid core to support my written work. As a historian and Spanish student, I used ProQuest, JSTOR, Google Scholar, and many others.

Moving forward, I will use technology aid in my doctoral-level research by asking questions to my professor and visiting webinars that can help me shape my skills in my field. Taking part in 3-D virtual environments such as the DC network and video conferencing will open more doors to becoming a better researcher and scholar in my area. Kawulich & Adriana (2019) point out how vital it is for novice scholars to gain the proper skills to shape their digital elements. Warburton (2009) reported several benefits to using SL for education purposes. These included the opportunity for interaction; visualization or contextualization, including preservation of important content; exposure to unique content and culture; role play, immersion in a 3-D world; simulation; community membership (Kawulich & Adriana, 2019). Communication SL can help novice and expert scholars to build a strong sense of community and support that can lead to many positive outcomes in becoming a better scholar. Moreover, the 3-D world environments similar to the Cop mentioned in this weeks reading can help facilitate the process of transformation into a solid scholar and gain problems solving skills.

To sum up, I will incorporate all the resources offered by professors, advisors, supervisors, and peers to grow my digital network and data collection. Those including ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global and Refworks, their feedback and words will lead me to become a better researcher and gain the proper skills to become an independent scholar and help others in their journeys.
