SSBT (Sydney School of Business and Technology)is theRegistered Training Organization (RTO) which is providing the training to the students on the business courses. The college is delivering Certificate III in Business, Diploma of Business and Advanced Diploma of Business.

Currently, the College employs 13 staff members that include the CEO, Sales and Marketing Manager, Human Resources Manager, Operations Manager, Administration Manager, Office Assistant, Receptionist, Academic Manager, Student Services Officer, IT Officer and 3 trainers and assessors.

So far, the Organization is delivering the courses face to face only; however, analyzing the market growth in the global education and to capture the international market, the organization has decided to deliver distance learning as well.

To facilitate the distance learning, the organization is considering installing the Learning Management System (Moodle) so that all the learning and assessment resources could be accessed by the students and trainers easily and anywhere.

Under the Project program, you are working on two more projects which are to develop new website with the help of website developer and installation of software application to mark attendance online.

You have been working as operation manager in the organization; however, for this project Program you are working as Program manager.

You had been invited in a meeting conducted by Senior Management and you have been advised to work on establishing program vision and environment, managing risks, supporting staff learning and evaluating leadership.

Please complete the following activities for satisfy performance skills requirements for the unit

Activity 1: Conduct a Meeting with CEO (Assessor)

You are required to conduct the meeting with CEO to identify program vision, and organisation mission and values and stakeholder objectives and expectations.

During the meeting, make sure:

  • Use effective communication skills
  • Make notes on all the information provided by CEO

Activity 2: Develop email to Project Manager

Assume that you have given the responsibility of creating the Program vision to Project Manager. Explain in the email to project Manager that what should be the Program vision would be like and how to sustain the program vision.

Activity 3: Assume that Project Manager has developed the Program vision and if you are satisfied with the vision created, consult with stakeholders and confirm program vision is in line with organisation mission and values

For this activity, you are required to develop an email to Senior Management advising what Program vision has been created and confirm it is in line with organisation mission and values.

Activity 4: Develop a Risk Management Report

You are required to develop a Risk Management Report. Your must include following information in the report:

  • What could be different views and expectations of stakeholders about the Program?
  • How would you manage these differences?
  • How would you address issues and concerns according to organisational policies and procedures?
  • What could be threats to socially responsible practice within the program?
  • How would you address the threats to socially responsible practice within the program?

Activity 5: Develop program socially responsible practice policies and procedures to guide team members to report breaches of socially responsible practice

The policies and procedures should comprise of the following information:

  • Purpose of the policy
  • Scope
  • Professional Standards and Business conduct
  • Procedures in case of breach of the policy
  • Principles of People Policy
