Boss Due Wednesday noon, October 11, 2023 Re: Performance evaluation and revamp of a reboiled solvent absorber and side exchangers This memo has one purpose: Describe the individual minor Aspen Plus project We have a reboiled absorber with side exchangers to remove ethane and lighter components to the overhead stream, and remove propane and heavier components to the bottom stream. The attached flowsheet shows the current design proposed by engineers from Wahoo Consulting Company. The absorber has 16 theoretical stages, with the reboiler being stage 16, and three side exchangers across stages 2 to 4. The heat duty of the reboiler is QN Btu/hr, and that of side exchangers 2 to 4 are Q2, Q3, and Q4 Btu/hr, respectively
