Paper Instructions: The goal of this assignment is to apply leading theories and concepts of developmental psychology to various movies and documentaries. Students will integrate critical thinking in order to identify connections. Students will be provided with a name of documentaries/movies reflective of each unit. It is the student's responsibility to gain access to the film. After reading and reviewing the content in the unit students will watch the film and apply developmental psychology. In the paper, students should reflect on both theories, milestones, and concepts related to the developmental stages. Students should use the "Getting Started" folder for more directions on the paper and examples to help. The paper will also reflect an understanding of physical, cognitive, and socioemotional development related to the unit and clearly describe three milestones or concepts and compare and contrast the connections to the film using examples.

Format:

• Part 1 - Brief summary of the movie
• Part 2 - Provide specific examples from the movie that relate to Physical Develoment/Biological Development
• Part 3 - Provide specific examples from the movie that relate to Cognitive Development
• Part 4 - Provide specific examples from the movie that relate to Socioemotional Development
• Part 5 - Write some concluding thoughts about the movie and development
• Part 6 - Include a reference/works cited page
• Each part should be about a paragraph or so. For each section, make sure to include 2-3 examples at a minimum.
