Chotu Bodhi graduated from The Harvard School of Law and was offered a job as a legal advisor with Xponential LLC based in California. He had a personal Provider (Dr. Roy Kukuma) he visited quite frequently while in school. His employer offered him health insurance coverage and added he could reduce his premium if he could get his annual check up medical records , but since his Provider was in Massachusetts, he considered that a major challenge to obtain the medical records. He told the benefits department about his attempts to get his Provider to email the records to him but said the Doctor could not export the records out of the EMR. Chotu and Dr. Kukuma ended up agreeing for the records to be sent via mail to his employer's benefits department to be added to his insurance documents to reduce his premiums. After all the records were updated, he noticed that his premium was higher instead and so he flagged it as an error with the benefits department but was told they discovered he had a genetic condition in his bloodline which requires a lot of medical procedures when there is an attack. Chotu explained that he has never had an attack and was also told by his specialist he might never get an attack as if that would help with the stands of his employer. Chotu realized it was lost fight and so dropped the pursuit and kept paying the new higher rates.
