What is statistics? Statistics is the collection, descriptions, analysis, and inference of conclusions from quantitative data. I currently work as a RBT which is a Registered Behavioral Technician, meaning that I work with mostly autistic children. Statistics play a huge role in this job because we work with the collection of data and graphing every day. One question that statistics can help me answer if viewing the progression of that child behavior/replacements. For example, after we collect the data for a specific behavior that day, we input that into an excel sheet where it can show the overall number for the week. Once we have that number we would then input it into the system where it automatic creates the graph for us. We analysis a lot of the data but our analysts' "supervisors" do most of the analysis of the data. This plays a huge role in our work each and every day.
