Job bidding is described as giving opportunities within the organization to apply for vacant positions that employees feel they are qualified for (Labor Relations Software, 2022). Internal applicants are eligible to be a part of the process for a potential promotion in the skills they feel they have acquired for the job. As for job posting is for external applicants that can see that there is a position vacant for the organization. This helps seek other applicants externally rather than those within the organization. I think the importance of job bidding and job posting is it does make it very competitive and open for eligible candidates that have the necessary skill, knowledge, and experience for the job. This gives a broader scope of candidates and who may be fit for the job. Job bidding to me is a great opportunity to give someone who has been with the organization for years and feels ready to move forward. The good thing about hiring internally can be that many people understand the culture and what is expected and want to be that change. I also understand that there is the possibility that it may not always be the best option to hire within. It will help identify areas of growth and training the organization needs to implement to help employees grow within the organization in the future. I think that job posting helps gain others with the necessary skills and possibly be able to get new people to be exposed and possibly understand and create a culture to help the organization move forward. This job posting is important to seek out how we can create inclusivity as well as gain a person with a different perspective and set of skills.
