Context: https://www.sheldoncollege.com/ is a private, co-educational school located in Brisbane's Bayside. You work for an IT consultancy firm called Information Systems Wizards and have been engaged by Sheldon College to contribute to the quality of their information systems by conducting some initial types of analyses.

The Brief from Sheldon College (the Assignment Question) Sheldon College would like you to analyse an existing human activity system within the organisation's overall business that suffers from issues and needs improvement (this is fictitious but must be realistic based on what you know about the service provider in the real world).

Questions:

1) Present the value chain of the organisation using Porter's Value Chain Model. Describe the primary activities of the organisation and provide an example for each. No Marks will be awarded for only listing/stating/naming the primary activities.

2) Using Porter's competitive forces model analyse the competitive strategy of the organisation. For each of the five forces, identify if each force is low, medium, or high, and explain why?

3) Identify an existing human activity system within the organisation which is identified by some stakeholders as being problematic and suffering from issues

(problems).

a) Name and briefly describe, in a few sentences, the human activity system

that you have identified.

b) Draw a comprehensive rich picture showing the issues and the concerns of

the stakeholders that you have identified in the human activity system as stated in Question 3 a).

4) For your chosen human activity system (as identified in Question 3 a) draw a business process model using the BPMn notation.
