The open loop transfer function of a unity feedback system is given as G(s)-K/s (s/5 +1)(s/20+1) It is expected from this system to meet the following specifications i) Acceleration error constant, Ka-10 ii) Phase margin to be 35 degrees iii) Steady state error due to a parabolic input to be 5% of the input signal a) Plot bode Phase and gain plots to determine the system stability and the ability of the system to meet the given conditions. Clearly show your work and state your findings. If the current system is adequate state why it is, and if not, clearly state why not. (4 marks) b) the following network is suggested to be used as a compensator to meet the conditions of the design in part (a). Find the transfer function of this network and use appropriate values for the capacitors and resistors needed to meet the conditions for this design. (6 marks) w c) Simulate the overall system(original system and designed compensated network) and verify that all condition can be met. Explain your results marks (2 d) If you determine that the requirements stated in the design using the given network cannot be met, suggest a modification and show why the suggested modification can meet the given design conditions. (2 marks) e) Apply a unit step input to the compensated system and comment on the overall time response. (2 marks)
