The false cause that I found was that the sun doesn't rise because of roosters. Instead, the roosters start to crow as the sun rises. Roosters usually crow early in the morning before sunrise. Since this happens before sunrise, it doesn't meant that the sun rises because of the rooster's call.

The false cause I found was that a black cat walking past you cause bad luck. This fits the definition because people infer that if a black cat walks past you, it will cause you to have bad luck. This is clearly false because cats do not cause bad luck. I found this fallacy on 15 False Cause Fallacy Examples (Correlation not Causation!) (2023) (helpfulprofessor.com)

My example of Post Hoc is from an episode of the Simpsons. In this clip ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSVqLHghLpw ) Homer is thankful the Bear Patrol is keeping bears away. Lisa quickly points out that she could claim a rock keeps tigers away. To add to this, Homer even offers to buy the rock. This is a good example of false causation because it comically points out how ridiculous an error in cause and effect can be, and even some satire into how easily people can be persuaded into buy totally useless things.
