Curbside programs have collected a substantial amount of recyclable material, diverting them from landfill. However, recent estimates suggest that approximately $25\%$ of items that are recycled contaminate the recycling. What are the two types of recycling contamination and why do both types of contamination happen? How can governmental agencies address recycling contamination? When answering, please consider one example of each of the $3$ intervention types.
