Current events will finding an article from a current periodical, a printout from the web, or a description of a newscast story, with a one page (typed) explanation of the economic issues involved in the story. Original diagrams with appropriate curves should be used when possible. Articles will be graded from 0 to 5 points with most articles receiving a 3 or 4.

1 pt A brief description of the article

2 pt A more thorough description using economic vocabulary

3 pt A description using an original economic curve

4 pt A description using an original economic curve with movement showing a third variable.

5 pt As above, but with all curves being correct.
