Data Flow Diagram: Detail Level You will draw a Detail level Data Flow Diagram for the "State Patrol Ticket Processing System" on page 90. You will first have to identify the correct template to use in Visio - this is the "Data Flow Diagram" Since this is a Detail level DFD there will be several (no more than 6) processes for you to identify and create. From the previous assignment you already have identified the external interactors. Therefore, your primary challenge in this assignment is come up with the processes and the appropriate data flows, as well as any Data Stores You MUST state all assumptions you are making that underlie your model - if you don't do this you have essentially failed to complete the assignment. What do "Assumptions" mean? It means assumptions you have to make about the facts of the case in order to create a coherent model. An assumption underlies why you created any give part of the model one way and did not do it a different way. However assumptions that you make about the case that have no impact on your model should be left out! Moreover, don't model anything that is not in the narrative - i.e. please try not to invent any new parts to this case. You should also explicitly state questions about the "State Patrol" case listed above that occur to you as a result of generating your model. These questions reflect what a systems analyst might ask business users when reviewing the requirements model with them.
