Database Systems: Create an ER diagram on the following

The daycare keeps track of every family. A family can have two parents, an unlimited number of children, current address for parent 1, current address for parent 2, a list of emergency contacts and their phone numbers, birth dates for the children, current class and location for the children. Additionally, children receive vaccines, according to state law requirements but may also have additional vaccines. The day care needs to record the vaccine and the date given. Children can receive vaccines more than once, like the flu vaccine. Children belong to a Specialty Program and take curriculum options. Parents receive a daily update on their children. This update includes information about what the child has eaten, if the child played inside or outside, how the child behaved (Good, Okay and Need Redirection), how long the child napped, details about their bathroom behavior (did child poop or pee today and how many times), and any special observations about the child for that day. Children can also elect to participate in the food plan that provides breakfast and lunch to the kids.

Each Specialty Program is described by a unique name, a location, a head teacher, and a department phone number.

Each Specialty program offer curriculum options. These curriculum options include a description, an appropriate age group, a number of hours per week the student participates, and days it is offered. The daycare breaks their year into quarters Summer, Winter, Fall and Spring. The curriculum start at the beginning of quarters. Programs also have a number of teachers working for it.

The Daycare has a number of employees. Employees either work for the main office or a specialty program. Locations also have general managers who supervise the entire locations. Employees have names, social security numbers, permanent address, start date, salary, and supervisor. Salaries are according to various union laws. Teachers, and the janitors have their own unions. The company also employs contract workers. All teachers must keep up to date on Continuing Professional Education requirements for their fields each year. The daycare must keep a record for the state of what education their teachers have had in the early childhood field.

The daycare also keeps track of consumables and how much each department uses. It keeps an inventory of diapers from size 1 to 6, baby wipes, bowls, forks, spoons, sippy cups, crayons, paper, finger paint, pencils, garbage bags and cleaning supplies.

The daycare has invested in a significant inventory of toys. These toys have a name, a manufacturer, a purchase date, a program it belongs to (a toy can only belong to one program at a time) and a cost.

The daycare keeps a waiting list of families who want to place children in the program. This waiting list includes family names and contact information, children needing placement, date placement is needed by and comments about placement. For each child needing placement, it also records the childs age and gender.

The daycare keeps track of all school trip locations. These school trips include location, participating chaperones, cost, and a comment about how the event went.

The daycare also buses special needs children to and from the daycare at different times of the day for various services needed. The daycare needs to record if the child has a special need, if so which services he or she needs (Speech, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or a unique therapy), the location of the therapy, the time the child must arrive, and the time the child finishes the therapy.

Finally, the daycare keeps track of tuition payments. Childrens tuition is based on the class they are in and how many days they attend. Each family pays $X for a child per month in the program. We track, per family, the tuition amount due, the tuition amount paid, the due date, the date of actual payment, and the payment methods
