Debate with your classmates the merits of pursuing your passion right now or finding a job you like that pays the bills. Is the pursuit of your passion practical or just a dream?

 

I love anything to do with creativity. Marketing is something that strikes me as a desirable career path because it involves creativity, but I would also be able to use my analytical skills. Currently I am not working in marketing but am searching for opportunities in that area.

I think it's different for everyone. I love writing and I could spend all day writing but every time I have tried to turn writing into a career path, I have been unhappy because it takes something I find joy in and makes it work. I also was an accountant and made good money but I was unhappy with the work. I think finding the middle, do something you love enough to keep doing but will also pay the bills.
