Deputy George was a likeable fellow who had grown up in Morehead and knew about everybody in town. One day he pulled into the BP at the foot of the Connector to buy himself a cold Ale$-8$ when he ran across Steve, an old high school buddy, who was hanging out in the parking lot with a couple of folks George didn't know.
