Description: The Real World Negotiation Assignment gives you the opportunity to go out into the $$real world$$ to test out your negotiation skills. Pick a situation that has real consequences for your life. Caution: this does not mean it has to be life altering like negotiating a job offer or buying a house, but it has to have meaning. The only caveat is that you cannot negotiate with your parents or legal guardians.

You will turn in your $1-2$ page paper in the Assignment Folder on D$2$L in memo format outlining the following elements:

The preparation needed for the negotiation situation including target$/$aspiration points, BATNAs, and reservation points

The context and content of the negotiation situation, experience including how you felt during the interaction

The final outcome including a quantification of what you gained by negotiating

An overall analysis of why the negotiation went down the way it did including what you could have done differently to produce a better outcome. Make sure you use terms and concepts that have been discussed in class or included in the readings.
