Description/Problem Statement:

Recently, our company has grown with huge sales with a variety of customers. But we need to do a summarized and well-organized report due to our sales. Thus, we need this system to arrange all the raw data of sales and demographics of customers.

Without this system, our company will be misdirected of targeting niches. Our companys sales will be unstable due to not understanding the customers may lead to bad result as time passes.

Objective(s):

To complete this study, some objectives have been stated as follow:

1. To develop a data analytic system of past sales result.
2. To focus on identifying trends in the organisation that can be optimised to improve overall business planning and performance.
3. To increase the efficiency and effectiveness of managing and arranging all the raw data of sales from customers through business data analytics system.
4. To decrease working capital requirements, the cost of customer acquisition and management, and overall supply chain and procurement costs.

Scope(s):

To keep the study focused only in concerned area, the study area will be only within defined scopes that are:

1. It will focus on the demographics of the customers such as age and occupation of customers that are well engaged in recent sales event.
2. It will focus on the popularity of the products that most customers engaged in.
3. It will focus on computerizing customers sales and report.

Justification of the proposed system:

The proposed system will assist us in further research and target the better and right niche leads to better continuing our business strategies that can improve our business marketing. Thus, the data analytics will be effective and convenience to see the data statements of every report. In the system will be able to see all the past sales reports and demographic of customers included the recent huge sales report. Once the system is developed our companys sales report will be organized efficiently.

You are required to plan, analyze and design an Information System (IS). This project is a group effort and should be treated as though you are proposing a system to an organization. You are required to establish an identity for your group, the group will be referred as a "Company" after this. Based on your chosen Information System (IS), your project work can be divided into three (3) main stages of work, that is, system investigation, system analysis and system design.

A good amount of interaction is required between your team and the company when your team perform the system investigation.

At the end of this project, your team is required to produce a project report that describes the above project stages.
