Design a counseling group about eating disorders. The goal of the Group Design Paper is to synthesize and integrate group purpose(s), group dynamics, group composition, goals, techniques, the "here and now" & "there and then," personally relevant experiences, and theory.

Requirements:

Population & setting are adequately described.Group design takes into consideration group composition, size, setting and goals.

• Establishes a substantive and detailed group design, with explicit consideration of all unique aspects of selection, group composition, and size. Description is comprehensive and integrates course content to add depth of reasoning.

Rationale for group and planning process is ethical, grounded in theory and/or research, and is respectful of the clients' culture(s) and other salient identities.

• Provides a thorough, grounded, and well-organized description of the rationale for the group design and planning process. Provides a soundly ethical, theoretically grounded rationale that is respectful of culture and other salient identities

Group plan is developmentally appropriate, consistent with site and student/client characteristics as well as ethical and professional standards.

• Offers theoretically grounded analysis of data from the group experience, texts, and additional resources to ground the group design

Group Design Paper demonstrates knowledge and awareness of group process and dynamics, the therapeutic nature of group work, and effective leadership in different settings and stages.

• Discussion Demonstrates insight, knowledge, and awareness of areas of growth/ opportunity as a future facilitator relevant to this group design. Reflection on counselor behavior(s) (self-reflexivity) are thoroughly addressed within the group design.
