Design of a PLC system to control a pump that empties a drain water tank N. B. Choose the appropriate contact to use for each sensor and clealy state in the input / output schedule You are required to design a PLC system to control a pump that empties : drain water tank when it gets full. All sensors have a set of normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts. When a sensor is activated the contacts change position. You must choose the appropriate contact to use for each sensor and clearly state this in the PLC input/output schedule. The tank fills naturally from drain water . When the tank is full of water the high level sensor starts the motor/pump and the tank begins to empty . The pump is stopped when; . the tank is empty, detected by the low level sensor the pump filter becomes blocked, detected by the filter sensor . Start and stop buttons provide manual control Pressing the emergency stop button will also stop the pump . When the process is running an indicator lamp should be on If the pump filter becomes blocked, the pump is shut down and an indicator lamp is turned on Stop Drain Water in S1 Start Emergency Stop S3 S2 Pump Water Out Pump and Filter
