Developing My Own Theory of Organizational Communication

Take some time to think about the following questions and then post your initial message. Imagine that your lives are organizations in which each person is part of a business. For example, your parents are the finance department, your teachers are the research and development department, your friends are the human resources department, and you are the CEO.

1. Create a unique theory of organizational communication for your organization by extracting features from each of the models discussed in Chapter 2.
2. Name the theory and then provide a brief description of why certain features and assumptions are included and how they enhance this unique organizational atmosphere.
3. Is it possible to run an entire organization by using only one theory?
4. What advantages do multiple theories have when trying to manage diverse groups and departments?
