| Diana rented a house from Randy. Diana was always good about paying rent on time, and she never asked Randy to make any repairs, so Randy considered himself Iucky to have such a good tenant. He never inspected the house while Diana was living there. At the end of two years, Diana moved to an ; apartment. She told Randy that most of her possessions were moved, but she would be back to get the rest of her things in a week. Randy was upset because he had a renter lined up to move in. When Randy entered the home after Diana left, he found piles of clothes, stacks of books, and dirty dishes in the dishwasher. He also found stains in the carpet and nail holes in the wall. Randy was furious. He called Diana and told her to come get her junk, clean the carpets, and patch the holes in the wall. He told her that if she didn't have her "crap" picked up by the end of the day, he would throw it on the lawn and : \"wring her neck" next time he saw her. Diana said she wouldn't come back to the house under those conditions. Randy slammed down the phone and called Diana's new landlady. He told the woman that she'd better keep a close eye on Diana because she trashed his place and refused to come back and make it right. The new landlady was alarmed and told Diana she changed her mind and would not rent an apartment to her. Diana threatened to sue Randy for ruining her chance to get into the apartment, and Randy threatened to sue Diana for ruining his house. 2
