In addition to the dichotomous key (Student Template that you can use is available on Sakai), you will answer the following questions (type answers & submit with key to Sakai)

1. Which snack(s) in your overall classification would be considered the outgroup? Explain how it/they are different from all of the other snacks based on their physical characteristics.
2. Explain, using details from the dichotomous key YOU created, how a person might differentiate Reeses Pieces, Skittles, Smarties, and M&Ms. Of these four snacks, which is the ingroup and outgroup? What is the shared ancestral character between them?
3. Are there examples of something akin to convergent evolution in these snacks? Did different parent companies make candies that have similar features?
